The Reds were hoping to once again leapfrog league leaders Man City, after suffering a setback over the weekend by settling for a draw against Tottenham hotspur.
However, the Reds rather began the game on the backfoot after Brazilian attacker Douglas Luiz found the back of the next just three minutes into kick-off to give Aston Villa a 1-0 lead.
However, the Reds soon roared back into the game three minutes later.
Joel Matip finding the back of the net to even the score for Liverpool at 1-1.
Matip's equalizer would eventually see off the opening 45 minutes as both sides headed into the break all square.
The second-half got underway with the Reds desperately in search of a goal to put the away side ahead.
And their persistence paid off, after the in-form Senegalese attacker Sadio Mane found the back of the net to complete the comeback and put the Reds ahead for the first time in the game, with the scores at 2-1.
Mane’s header proved to be the winner in the game as Liverpool completed a comeback to ran out of Villa Park with all three points.
The win for Liverpool now puts the Reds level on points with defending champions Man City who play on later on Wednesday, as the premier league title race edges closer than ever to an epic finale.

They went through their lines twice. She began by saying, "Presenting is better the second time around," Beatty followed up with, "The winner is 'Gone with the Wind.'"
We're told the writers are still putting finishing touches on their lines.
You'll recall last year, we reported Warren and Faye had so much animosity toward each other they refused to rehearse onstage together. That set up the debacle when Faye opened the envelope and announced "La La Land" as the winner. Once on stage, they were sent packing when the producer of the movie announced the screw up -- that "Moonlight" actually was the winner
Tupac Murder Weapon Should Be in L.A. Detective Says Vegas Rejected It
The 40 caliber Glock was found in a Compton backyard in 1998, and according to docs, LASD Detective Timothy Brennan was the guy who ordered the ballistic testing which revealed it was used in Tupac's murder.
Brennan, who's now retired, tells the story. That there should be NO mystery about where the gun is now ... IF everyone followed protocol. As Brennan recalls ... he gave the gun to ATF agents who conducted the testing. Once it came up a match, in a federal law enforcement database, he says ATF sent it to Las Vegas cops.
Now here's the rub. Brennan says law enforcement in Vegas didn't believe it was a match. He says he was never told why they reached that conclusion, but they rejected the weapon. Brennan says what should have happened next is the ATF to send it back to L.A.
As we reported ... the document dug up by producers of A&E's "Who Killed Tupac?" says a federal prosecutor recommended the gun NOT be turned over to Vegas -- but Brennan insists it was.
He thinks the handgun is still in the custody of L.A. authorities, but if it's not ... someone may be pulling something shady.

Burna Boy Singer arrested, detained over robbery
Burna Boy has finally handed himself to the Nigeria Police Force over the robbery and assault on Mr 2Kay.
The
singer who handed himself to the Lagos Police Command on Friday,
December 15, 2017, was later arrested on arrival, interrogated and
detained he is expected to be arraigned and charged to court on Monday
with the four other suspects.
Commissioner of Police, Mr Imohimi Edgal,
after the interrogation, said the State Police Command has zero
tolerance for all forms of crime and would not hesitate to prosecute
anyone found culpable in any criminal offence perpetrated in the State.
“There would be no sacred cows. This
Command is poised to ensure that every resident can feel safe wherever
they are and carry out their businesses without fear or favour. Anyone,
therefore, found to be involved in this case would be made to face the
law to clear his or her name or face prosecution,” Imohimi said.
It
would be recalled that after the attack on Mr 2Kay in October 2017, the

Toke Makinwa is always in the news but this time she has been in the news for an alleged relationship with a business mogul.
She has, however, come out to not debunk or accept the claims.. She reacted to the rumour on Twitter.
In a cryptic post on her Twitter page, she said, ” if I can take the good I can also take the bad”
In what looked like a shade, veteran rapper, Ruggedman
made some comments which everyone felt he was referring to Toke Makinwa
in respect to her failed marriage and mostly the rumours of her
relationship with an older man.

"So you complain that ur man cheated on you, only for you to be found cheating with someone else husband...hmmm," he wrote on his Instagram page.
However,
Ruggedman on November 27, 2017, come out to deny that he was referring
to Toke Makinwa blaming bloggers for blowing his message out of
proportion.

Toke Makinwa has had a very eventful year with the dissolving of her three years marriage to ex-husband, Maje Ayida. An Igbosere High Court in Lagos dissolved the union, citing husband’s adulterous lifestyle, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
On March 9, 2016, asked the court to dissolve the marriage on the grounds that the husband committed adultery. Justice Morenike Obadina, while delivering judgment held that Ayida filed an answer to the petition but did not give oral evidence in support of it.
She said the position of the law was settled as pleadings did not amount to evidence.

Al appeared Monday alongside Meek's attorney, Joe Tacopina, to address his prison visit with the guy he promised to help, and he says Meek wants him to help shed a light on a broken criminal
He also talked about his time going to bat for Tupac Shakur in the '90s to help get him out of solitary confinement, explaining how he's the right guy to help Meek fight his case now.

Boko Haram Troops kill 8 sect members, rescue 30 in Borno
roops with the 202 Battalion of 21 Brigade of the Nigerian Army have killed 8 Boko Haram members.
According to Daily Post, the
sect members were killed during the clearing of terrorists’ hideouts in
enclaves in Abusuriwa, Newchina, Bonzon, Usmanari, Goyayeri, Shitimari,
Gashimari, Awaram amongst other villages in Bama Local Government Area
of Borno State.
The soldiers also rescued a total of 30 people during their raids.
The Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman in a statement, said “The gallant troops were also able to recover 4 AK-47 Rifles, 3 Magazines, 7 Dane guns and Machetes, amongst other items.
“In
addition, the troops also rescued 3 men, 12 women as well as 15
Children, among whom were an aged man and a woman held captives by the
Boko Haram terrorists.
“The
suspected terrorist has been handed over to the relevant authorities for
further interrogation, while the rescued civilian captives are being
attended to.”
Boko Haram has been defeated
President
Muhammadu Buhari recently said that Boko Haram’s wicked methods of
using innocent children for suicide bomb attacks on soft targets are the last kicks of a dying horse.
Buhari said that the war had moved to the next phase, which would be intelligence-driven.
The President also revealed that he has approved the establishment of an intelligence fusion centre in Maiduguri.
