The Nigerian military on Monday, October 31, said 240 members of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group surrendered to the Multi National Joint Task Force. A statement by the chief military public information officer Muhammadu Dole said the terrorists surrendered after an operation by the ground troops and joint air operation of the MNJTF’s operation Gama Aiki. Dole, a colonel said sustained offensive operations and blockage of logistics supply routes made the terrorists’ location indefensible. He said the affected terrorists and their families abandoned their locations and surrendered with their arms to the nearest location of ground forces.
