Babatunde Fowler, FIRS boss A staggering total of 700,000 applications have been received for just 500 vacant slots at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Vanguard reports. The chairman of FIRS, Tunde Fowler made this known on Wednesday, November 2 when he appeared before the House of Representatives Committee on Public Petition.
Vanguard reports that Fowler’s appearance at the lower house of legislature followed a petition from some applicants claiming that they were excluded from the employment processes. But Fowler said that the organisation received more than 700,000 applications from the recent job advert it placed in some national dailies.
