Job Hazard Man who murdered prostitute arrested in Abuja

A man who has been on the run after allegedly killing a prostitute in a brothel in Abuja has been arrested.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested  police have arrested one Joseph Odoh, for allegedly killing a  commercial sex worker at Utako village, a suburb of Abuja.

Daily Trust reports that the suspect was arrested at Mabushi village after days of intensive investigation into the gruesome murder of the prostitute.
Odoh arrest was made possible after the police traced him through the mobile phone SIM card in the pocket of his trousers which he left at the scene of the crime.
A police source said:
“After killing the woman, he fled the scene of the incident, leaving his trousers with a mobile SIM card in its pocket.
He was traced through that SIM card and was arrested last week Wednesday by the police at Mabushi."
It was gathered that the suspect, a guard with a security firm in Utako, allegedly hacked the woman to death with a knife in her room following an argument over payment for her services after he had gone to her solicit for sex from her.Confirming the arrest of the suspect, the Utako Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Sani Aliyu Omolori, said the suspect had been transferred to FCT CID for further investigation.
