John Ogu Midfielder says Gernot Rohr is a big plus to Super Eagles

Ogu was invited to the Super Eagles squad for the 3-1 win over Algeria in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu has described Gernot Rohr as a plus, having worked the German during the last international break.

Ogu was invited to the Super Eagles squad for the 3-1 win over Algeria in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
That was the midfielder’s first call-up under Rohr and the German coach left a very good impression on him.
“It was great working with a professional coach like him who has the aim of winning always and for me that is good for the team,” the Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder told Complete Sports in an interview.
Rohr likes hardworking players who are ready to fight for the team. He stands out among other coaches I’ve played under.
“He shows a wonderful experience and great knowledge of the game. We having a foreign coach is a big plus to the team and It’s a great way to move forward in our football.”
After two wins over Zambia and Algeria, Ogu thinks the Super Eagles have a great chance of qualifying for the World Cup.

“Yes, our chances are bright, but qualifying for the World Cup won't come without a fight from the Cameroonians. We have a good coach who is willing to give his best for the team, with this mentality,” Ogu added.
We have a big chance of beating Cameroun. We have played two games already and everyone could see the team has a big chance to make it to the World Cup.
“All we need to do is to maintain the philosophy and ensure that we take our chances during games.”
The Super Eagles face Cameroon next in a World Cup qualifier double header.
