Kanu Nwankwo ‘God called her’ Super Eagles great says about the death of his mum

Kanu's mum who died in September will be laid to rest on Saturday, December 3 in Abia State.

Nigerian football great Kanu Nwankwo has once again reacted to the death if his mum.

Kanu’s mother, Mrs Sussan Nwannediya Kanu Iheme died on Wednesday, September 7; cause of her death has not been revealed by the family.

The former Super Eagles forward took to his Twitter to react to the death, writing; “R.I.P MAMA GOD saw Mum getting tired as she is getting old so He put His arm around her,whispered to her come to me.”

Kanu’s late mum is widely called 'Mama Gold' in her locality honouring her for being the mother of the Dream Team that won gold in football event of Atlanta 96.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday, December 3 in Abia State.

According to the chairman of the burial committee, Onyebuchi Abia, all arrangement has been made to give ‘Mama Atlanta '96’ a befitting burial.
