The DG of NYSC has urged the Batch B corp members to remain in their states of deployment.
The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, urges Corps members to shun redeployment after the camping exercise.
The
plea was made while Kazaure addressed the 2016 Batch B Corps members
deployed to Kebbi State, shortly following their swearing-in ceremony at
the Permanent Orientation Camp in Dakingari.
Daily Post reports that Kazaure encouraged
the corp members to remain in the states they were deployed to and
continue to contribute to the promotion of national unity.
He
stressed that postings were done deliberately, allowing graduates to
leave their home states and geopolitical zones to forge new ties among
Nigerians of diverse backgrounds.
The
Director-General also asked that the Corps members imbibe the spirit of
patriotism, advising that they maximise the opportunity for
self-employment, through the NYSC Skills Acquisition and
Entrepreneurship Development programme.
The Batch B Orientation Course for 2016 began on November 24 and is to be concluded on December 14, 2016.
