UCL: Man City come from a goal down to shock Barca
PSG and Arsenal have both qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League following win in their match day four game in the competition. Manchester City came from a goal down to defeat Barcelona 3 – 1 at the Etihad while Antoine Griemann and Robert Lewandowski scpred twice to send Atletico and Bayern Munich into the last 16 also.
The Gunners made a dreadful start, conceding twice in the opening 15 minutes but they leveled matters before the interval thanks to goals from Granit Xhaka and Olivier Giroud. Mesut Ozil scored a last minite winner to send the Gunners into the last 16 in their group along side PSG. In PSG’s game against Basel, Blaise Matuidi opened the scoring but Luca Zuffi leveled matters in the second half. Thomas Munier scored a last minute goal to send PSG into the last 16 with three wins and a draw from four games. Manchester City beat Barcelona 3 – 1 at the Etihad stadium. Lionel Messi opened th scoing after starting a counter attacking move from the front of his own box. City equalized through Ilkay Gundogan who was lurking at the back post to convert Sergio Aguero’s cutback. Kevin De Bruyne put City ahead via a beautiful freekick and man of the match Gundogan added a third lat in the game. Mochengladbach played a 1 – 1 draw with Celtic. Stindl opened the scoring in the first half but Moussa Dembele levelled matter in the second half front from the penalty spot. Edduardo Slvio scored the only goal (from the penalty spot) as Benfica defeated Dynamo Kyiv. In the day’s early kick off, Besiktas and Napoli played a 1 – 1 draw. Ricardo Quaresma scored a penalty for the hosts while Marek Hamsik equalized for the Italians. Atletico Madrid and PSG made the last 16 of the Champions League with narrow wins. Antoine Griezman scored twice either side of Serder Azmoun’s strike while Lewandowski scored twice after PSV had taken the lead through Santiago Arias.
Ludogorets Razgrad – Arsenal Arsenal won 6 – 0 and Mesut Ozil grabbed a hat-trick, Arsenal should be too strong agaian but they are playing away this time. Bellerín, Cazorla, Walcott & Monreal, Lucas Perez and Danny Welbeck will miss the match against Ludogorets.
