It was a bumper event with many dignitaries in attendance as Channels Television celebrates its 21 years of professional broadcasting.
The gala night, which took place on Sunday in Lagos State, was graced by the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, a host of state governors, Africa’s richest man, Mr Aliko Dangote and business mogul, Mr Dele Fajemirokun.
Also present are veteran journalists and the Channels family led by the Chairman of Channels Media Group, Mr John Momoh and Vice Chairman, Mrs Sola Momoh.
In his opening remarks, Mr Momoh gave a brief background on the journey so far while Mrs Momoh also shared her experience on Channels’ road to greatness.
The Minister of Information, Mr Lai Mohammed, used the platform to ask Channels Television to champion digitisation of the broadcast industry in Nigeria.
Dr. Saraki and a number of other dignitaries also commended the Channels family for a job well done.
Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, said Channels Television is the best station in the world, saying it is the beginning of more successes for the media giant.
Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari and former President Olusegun Obasanjo among others who were unable to make it to the event also sent their goodwill messages.
