InJos Woman gives birth to conjoined twins with 2 heads, one body

Dicephalic twins with two heads and one body is born in Plateau state but sadly, do not survive.


A set of  Dicephalic twins have been delivered in Plateau state specialist hospital, Jos, on Friday, November 2.

The conjoined twins were reportedly born at 28 weeks of gestation and sadly, did not survive.
The twins were joined at the thorax and abdomen but shared one pair of upper and lower limbs and weighed 1.4kg.
Very few Dicephalic twins, children born with two heads on one body, actually survive past birth to full maturity.
In a similar but positive development, a set of conjoined twins, Miracle and Testimony Ayeni,  joined at the buttocks were successfully separated in Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, Memphis Tenessee in November.
