A couple recently blessed with quintuplets at the National Hospital, Abuja, have been promised a new home by the Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita.
Punch reports that Oyo-Ita made the promise while visiting the new born babies on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Oyo-Ita said that the house will be gifted to the couple under the Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Scheme.
She also promised the father of the quintuplets, Mr Imudia Uduehi,
who is a graduate from the University of Ilorin, Kwara state, a job
with the Federal Civil Service. Before now, Uduehi, was unemployed.
Oyo-Ita described the children as a great blessing given to the couple by God.
According to her, the job opportunity offered to Uduehi would give him the means to cater for the children.
“I
am very happy for you and I am standing here this afternoon
representing the entire civil service of Nigeria. Today is a day of joy
for all of us.
“Indeed you are a
couple that has been so blessed by God. You have been married for just
two years and God has blessed you with five children at once.
“I
want to tell you that the Federal Integrated Staff Housing programme
will be made available to you, we will give you a house that can
accommodate you, your husband and your five children.”
Punch
reports that Oyo-Ita also presented cash gifts and diapers to the
couple, while thanking the doctors for their efforts in ensuring that
the babies were delivered alive as well as keeping the mother alive.

quintuplets throughout the period of the pregnancy until delivery.
