NYSC has sanctioned 24 corps members and extended the service of another 60 for misconduct.
Authorities of the National Youth Service Corps have sanctioned 24 of its members and extended the service year of another 60 over alleged indiscipline, misconduct and breach of the NYSC Bye-Laws.
Punch reports that the information was disclosed by the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Omotade, during the passing out parade in Asaba, Delta state.The 84 are part of the 2,657 NYSC Batch B, Stream 11, 2015 corps members that recently passed out in Delta State, Punch reports.
According to the reports, 80 of them were remobilised, 60 of which are facing extension of service, while four of the corps members were awarded for excellence.
The awardees include Kenechukwu Ezeugo, Omotayo Taiwo, Onyeukwu Stanley and Ayim Chinemerem Ogechi.
Speaking on the reason for the remobilisation and extensions, Ayodele said that the affected corps members were guilty of indiscipline, misconduct and breach of the NYSC bye-laws.
